Get Outdoors Day Hike

Join us in celebrating Get Outdoors Oregon with a hike at the Trail of Shrines above Scappoose, Oregon

Columbia Land Trust’s mission is to conserve and care for the land, water, and wildlife of the Columbia River region. Natural areas and our lives intertwine, and we strive to connect people to the diverse landscapes of the Pacific Northwest.

In celebration of National Get Outdoors Day and in conjunction with Get Outdoors Oregon, we would like to invite you to join us for a hike at the Vedanta Society’s Trail of Shrines along the Tualatin Mountain Range above Scappoose, Oregon.

Columbia Land Trust board member Jim Thayer is leading this hike and will discuss the unique trail we will be hiking, native plants and wildlife seen along the way, and the broader role the Land Trust plays in conserving and restoring Oregon’s treasured lands and waters. We’ll also meet up with Teri Hohner of the Vedanta Society to hear about their organization and conservation projects that they are working on.
