Get Outdoors Day QiGong Outing

Come outdoors with Greenbelt Land trust for a Qigong class at Bald Hill Farm! Qigong (pronounced “chee gung”is a Chinese form of healing exercise practiced for thousands of years. The class will be led by Dr. Peter Eschwey of Soma Clinic for Natural Medicine in Corvallis. Dr Eschwey is a certified Qigong instructor who has been in practice for over 20 years. He will be leading us through gentle movements to stretch the body, increase blood flow, build body awareness, improve mental clarity, and reduce tension - all in a beautiful natural area. Who doesn’t need that?!

The Nature Conservancy: Willamette Confluence Preserve Tour


The Nature Conservancy’s Willamette Confluence Preserve near Eugene features extensive habitats that are endangered in the Willamette Valley and includes six miles of river corridor, floodplain forest, wetlands, upland oak woodlands and native prairie. The Conservancy is working with partners to reconnect the river to its historic floodplain across 20 ponds in this former gravel mining site. During this 4 mile mostly flat walking tour, volunteer docents will lead you around the Western (downstream) part of the preserve, highlighting the conservation efforts, human history, and natural wonders of areas in which restoration work began in 2016. Note that other tours will focus on the Middle and Eastern parts of the preserve.
