Oregon land trusts work to  protect our rivers, farms, forests, wetlands and wild places. Our land is not always easy to see or experience, but each acre benefits our diverse communities.

Today, we want you to experience these places, properties and big open spaces.

Use our hashtag #getoutdoorsOR with your photos, videos and commentary.

HERE'S WHAT TO DO:

1. FIND AN EVENT 2. OR ENJOY A FAVORITE OUTDOOR ACTIVITY, CHECK OUT OUR IDEAS! 3. SHARE WITH US

Get Outdoors Day is here every year to remind us to take the time to savor our favorite places, explore new places and share it with our community. Getting outside, might be a quick walk around the block, a gardening session or simply eating your lunch outside.  For others, it's big trees, wild rivers, working farms and big open spaces.  Land trusts work in our cities, our small towns and our wild lands.  That's why today, June 9th, we want to celebrate the places you think are special and the places we have protected forever.  #getoutdoorsOR
